Keynote address: Yvon Dandurand, a leading international expert in human trafficking and criminal justice. Yvon Dandurand is a professional criminologist with extensive experience in research, policy development, and program management and evaluation in support of criminal law reform, human rights, and the rule of law. He has led numerous criminal law reform initiatives as a senior associate of the International Centre for Criminal Law Reform and Criminal Justice Policy, an affiliated member of the United Nations Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Program Network of Institutes. Haunted by anguished voices, a lawyer poses as a john to build a legal case against a brothel trafficking girls into Bangkok. The seeds of the play were planted when an abandoned storage container containing 121 workers from Burma, 54 of them dead, was found in Thailand in 2008. This YWCA fundraising event will once again raise money and awareness to support the hundreds of homeless women and children in our community.
